Elephants were hamered hard in zambia druing the previous poaching holocaust in the 1970s and 1980s. Their population plummeted from 250.000 in the 1960s fewer than 18.000 in 1989. Since then they have ribounded slowly. These days impressive gatherings can be seen again on the floodplans of the luangwa river. In this image you can see long lines of boffaloes mix with elephants as thay come to drink from the river at twilight. Follow me @bawielnabawi
