Hurricanes are so frequent in this part of the world, there seems to be no reason to purchase a house where there is no protection. It's sad to see, honestly.

I agree, they're a tough people, but there are limits.
And with home prices at all time highs, maybe renting is the way to go, let someone else take the hurricane risk.....
