Some time ago I’ve written about the ‘best’ time to submit a blogpost so you’ll receive worldwide exposure.

I came up with the term 4 o'clocky and I thought this might be a great idea to make a blogpost every day at 4 o'clock local time with this title.

Every day I’ll submit a blogpost about something that keeps me busy, what I have to laugh about, what I think about and so on.... so Lets blog on, here we go!

This My 4 o’clocky for today:

   The Dutch plastic soup invention

This morning I already wrote about National Earth Day.
That got me thinking off a project I already knew from a fellow dutchie that is very important to the whole world.

Let me tell you a little about this and him:

The Dutch student from Delft near My hometown off Rotterdam Boyan Slat has made an invention to get rit off the plastic in Our ocean. Cleaning up the immense floating plastic waste soup started in the Pacific Ocean by the Dutch inventor Boyan Slat is happening right now as we write and read this blog. "We are already starting the clean-up campaign," said Ocean Cleanup's Boyan Slat ( age off only 22) two years ago.

"We Will have disposed of 50 percent of the waste within five years." Recent large donations of up to 20 million euros made this possible. He was in alot off tv-shows to promote and explain his ideas and to raise money to do so. I saw him at RTL LATE NIGHT with Humberto Tan. I respected the plans he was explaining.

Initially, it would only start in 2020 after a test period. Thanks to the latest financial support, the realization of the large 'vacuum cleaners' in the ocean gained alot of support and the first installations are built with this money. It is the intention that fifty installations will eventually end up in our Pacific Ocean.

Slat received donations at the end of last year after the team of 65 experts had achieved a breakthrough in technology. "We showed how the cleaning up could be better, faster and cheaper," said the man who set himself the goal of tackling the plastic problem at a young age, and Made the commitment to do so. Boyan studied and tackled this problem.

The biggest obstacle is how to anchor the 1 to 2 km long arms 2000 kilometers off the coasts was solved. The researchers of Oceans Cleanup discovered that a large object in a lower layer of seawater gives sufficient resistance to attaching the clean-up systems.
This was the get go and go ahead and start the project earlier than 2020.

Boyan Slat: "When the flow goes the other way, the systems rotate and behave exactly the same as the plastic." All jerry cans, bags and PET bottles float to the arms via the natural flow instead of having to be caught behind them.
The water pushes the waste against the artificial 'coastline'. It ends up in a buffer and can not get out. Once a month a 'garbage ship' comes to empty the lot. The junk is recycled and sold.

Ocean Cleanup initially focused on the largest plastic soup in the world. The biggest problem area is between Hawaii and California.
Boyan Slat says that the oceans will be clean within the first half of this century. "We can take the plastic out of it faster than it flows into it."

I admire the wisdom behind this face, and the persistence of his study. If we all do a small piece in taking care off our globe than our children and their children wil still have a Greener world to live in. I Will spare you the photos off animals from Our oceans with plastic in and on their body but if you are interested go inline to See the hurt.

Have great earth day! And remember :

Thank you very much for this wonderful publication.
But the mistake and danger is the person who does not realize the dangers of the degradation of nature.

Thats so true its like a normaliteit that people trough garbage out, but if we All do something more to recycle its going to go the good way
