In the north of Sealand, between Frederiksværk and Hundested you find one of the oldest eco-village in Denmark.
The Dyssekilde ecological community is a village built exclusively of ecological materials and which produces its own energy. A varity of buildings with organic shops and a range of delicious organic goods. There are guided tours in the summertime.
The little village with the long history has developed a lot for the last 30 years. Today, kindergarten, kindergarten, assembly hall, church, café, shops, bakery, artists, self-employed and clinics help to give the village a lot of life.
