Well friends, it didn’t work out in Humboldt. I guess I realized I’m not willing to work 12 hours a day 7 days a week for any amount of money.

Being away from Little Buddy all day every day as old as he is (13 in July) just didn’t seem right.

I was excited to be a part of California’s massive roll out of legal cannabis and all the money involved. Once in the thick of it however, I remembered I don’t need a lot of money and my time is the most valuable thing I have.

I have my off grid house in Hawaii for retirement. I want to travel, particularly to Mexico and Central America.

I have some nice crypto investments I’m very optimistic about. I think this year is going to be very big.

So I’ll be at my grandma’s property again for the next months growing a garden and enjoying life.

It looks like this old alder tree didn’t make it through the winter, but now we can cross the creek without getting wet.

We built this fire pit last spring and spent many evenings around the fire drinking beer having a peaceful life. I plan on spending this summer the same, only adding a garden in th field.

A pretty little plant on the edge of the creek.

The water is so clear and beautiful.

Wonderful. It's good to see that at least some people have the brains and opportunity to live a good life. All the Best for you. May it last forever...

Looks like you have all you need @choosefreedom

It is always nice to have a place to return to and it looks like your grandmother's property is just such a place. I wish that I had learned that "money isn't everything" much earlier in life. The garden will be good also; gives you something to do and a real purpose. Sounds like you have some things figured out. All the best.

Hey, just discovered you on here. Sounds like you have things figured out. Make the most of what time you have with Little Buddy. I did with my girl and I'm so glad I did.

Lovely photos!
Well- You went there and gave it a shot. Had a good reminder given to you as well- now you get to spend time in a beautiful relaxing area with even MORE gratitude, appreciation and happiness. Success all the way around. Much love to you. <3

Do you just switch locations based on how scenic they are? :D

Beauty is so important for our mental health. I have never lived in a city. I am sure there is beauty to be found there, but I get very anxious around lots of people and man made things. I’m fortunate to have this place in Oregon where I can always be if I want.

Opposite here, I lived in the city most of my life, but for the last few years I've been living in the countryside. It's tough in some ways, no diversion, no clubs, no cinemas... but I found a lot of nice spots to grow... scratch that, I'm going back indoor :D
