The majority of Australia is very hot and extremely dry, which means fire can easily spread and destroy large area before they stop. So fires still are and haven’t been part of Australia for a very long time.
For that reason some species of plants have adapted to that environment and actually require fire for their seeds to sprout. Every time I'm amazed how nature is adapting to harsh environments.
The photos show plants / shrubs a short time after a fire. Photos are taking with my mobile phone around 4 months ago.
