Hey everyone, I often feed my bees a mixture of honey and water. With all the containers we store honey in there are lots of 'left overs' and what a waste it would be to just throw it all away. We are experiencing summer here now and there is a plethora of food around for the bees to forage so feeding them now is not necessary, however it does help them develop, mature and grow strong and establish faster so why not?
Yesterday I cleaned out a few pots with warm water then fed it to the bees, within a few minutes 1000's of hungry bees came around for a foraging frenzy...
I would imagine the majority of these bees are mine however I do know there is one other bee-keeper in who's bees probably do partake in this epic feast too.
Be sure to stay tuned for more of me epic bee-keeping adventures.
