Skiing the peaks of Rila Mountain - Ski touring to Musala Peak (2925m)

This was an amazing day of ski touring and exhausting pursuit of mountain winter beauty, « delicious » mountain air and adventure :) I’ve already posted some pictures from this place, but since mountains are different every day, I’ll take you with me again there, because this particular day was simply gorgeous! I’ve been to this peak many times in all seasons and the experience can be majestic or a little bit disappointing. The secret is in timing. Since it is the highest peak on Balkan Peninsula, it is attracting many tourists, and often the route is too crowded, more like a shopping street, than mountain path. Fortunately this is only during the summer. And in the winter.. In the winter, especially with the skis, the magic happens.Then it is a place for a real mountain experience, feeling the mountain spirit, connecting with nature and enjoying breathtaking white landscapes. Hard work pays off! Come with me to the highest point in Bulgaria!
