Sharing some memories about last year, One of my top canadian hike: Crypt lake trail loop. Located in Waterton Lakes National park at the border between Canada and USA, this is a great hike through the mountain up to Galcier lake.
To reach the trail, you need to take a boat in Waterton town and cross the lake ($20 CAD ticket). The trail start on the other side of the shore and you can start the 13 miles hike loop! You will walk through the forest with some steep section but on an overall view, I would say it is a moderate level hike.
The place is really peaceful walking along clear water and such green vegetation. And we were almost by ourselves with maybe some bears around us (we saw two, probably brown bears, down in the valley, so it is highly recommended to go with bear spray)
At the top, you will arrive to the Crypt glacier lake and will be able to walk around. Great place for the lunch time and discover around. Being in good shape it is easily feasible as a day hike leaving with morning ferry of 8:30 and coming back with the afternoon ferry of 5pm!
beautifull nature 😍
