Bonsai: the technique to keep aged trees small

in nature •  6 years ago

I love to see bonsai trees. From last three years, I have been trying to make one banyan plant as bonsai. It’s working but will take time.

Few days back I went one of my friends house and found many bonsai trees there. Some of the trees age are more than 10 years. I will provide some pictures here for your reference.

Now, let’s see what is bonsai according to Wikipedia-

Bonsai (Japanese: 盆栽, lit. 'tray planting', About this sound pronunciation (help·info))[1] is a Japanese art form using cultivation techniques to produce small trees in containers that mimic the shape and scale of full size trees. Similar practices exist in other cultures, including the Chinese tradition of penzai or penjing from which the art originated, and the miniature living landscapes of Vietnamese Hòn Non Bộ. The Japanese tradition dates back over a thousand years.

It’s not so easy to make bonsai trees. You have to take intense care. You have to cut the branches and leaves regularly. Also, proper drainage system on the plants trays need to ensure.

There are many bonsai trees. Among them, Pines and maples are the most popular trees to make bonsai.

Here are the pictures of some bonsai trees which captured few days back.

You are most welcome.

Wow! That's interesting. I am glad to see the Bonsai of Bangladesh. The kind of tree differs from Japanese bonsai, but it is certainly a bonsai.
