Last year I planted a bamboo next to my house. Plants that grow real fast are the best. And bamboo has the advantage that it dont smell like other plants, that grow so fast...

Anyway I planted it and during the winter and the leaves became brown. But I thought that this is normal.

Spring came and I was looking at my bamboo, waiting for the new green leaves....

But nothing.

In march my mum visited me and looked at the plant in front of the house.

"Did you water it in winter ?", she asked.

"No, certainly not. I know that water would harm the roots.", I answered.

"No, this plant needs water in the water, you should have watered it. Now the bamboo is dead."

I didnt believe it. From this day on I took care of the bamboo, watered it regularly and fertilized it. But nothings happened.

In April my mother came again and she asked me, if she should throw my bamboo away because the plant is dead. Desperately I was looking for a solution. You know, I am fighter and not a "giveupper".

On the next day I had a last idea. I will cut the yello leaves away and then I will wait for one week.

After two days I couldnt believe my eyes. Tiny, small, green leaves where everywhere on the bamboo. I seemed as if the plant had waited for cutting the old and dead material. So that it could grew again.

In this moment I realised that the same principles worked in my relationship. As long as I think about an old relationship, my thoughts will keep me away from a new one.

Cut the old relationship

Thats a great Story in combination of the life. Thanks for the share. The Bamboo need a lot of Water, yes and fertilizer as well. When I was young, my family had one too. This bamboo was in a big steel pot and always the rainwater comes into it. it grow very fast, because the water was always inside and he got lot of minerals from the rain water which run over the grooves before it falls into this pot.

And now you travel through the jungle and see these plants in reality. I love plants which are really green and huge. I love banana palm tree, bamboo but in Austria the winters are very cold and so it is a little harder to see it grow. But I will watch your Blog and there I see the original. nice greetings.
