Парк_«Уэно».jpg

Tokyo - the city of the future, which at first glance consists entirely of skyscrapers, huge LED screens and steel subways. But in the heart of this metropolis is an island of nature with lakes, temples, museums and even a zoo. Park "Ueno" is great for those who are tired of the rabid rhythm of life, the Tokyo man could take a breath, resting amidst the riot of nature. Especially the park has its own history, traditions and architecture, to see all its sights, you need to come here at least a day.

"Ueno" was created in 1873 by the order of the emperor and at first it was used as a personal garden of the monarch. Trees and shrubs brought here from all corners of the country - in the end turned out a kind of botanical garden, in which you can learn the Japanese flora. That's what the Tokyo biology students are doing, doing practical classes here. In addition, the park is known for its cherry trees, framing the central alley. In April, more than a thousand cherry trees paint the garden in a gentle pink color. In the "Ueno" there was also a place for fauna - the zoo, also the oldest in Japan, was discovered in the park. Here live more than 2600 animals, and the main stars are the giant pandas of Ree Ri and Shin Shin.
