A small but beautiful trail park just a stone's throw from Shands UF in Gainseville, Fl. When you enter, there are picnic tables and a small kiddie park with swings and toys. We ate lunch at a covered table, then went for a walk through the trail. This trail is surprisingly Old Florida! As you'll see in the video, the trail takes you through poison ivy and swamp, literally with signs warning you of gators! This is definitely not a trail for very small children, and I recommend wearing hiking boots or closed-toed shoes.
Have a look at the beautiful scenery and get a taste of what the first explorers in Florida would've been dealing with!

lol...I know this very spot my friend, I once took a date there while we waited on a play at the Hippodrome to start a couple years back lol. She was into all that hiking bug nature stuff. Great post, memory filled for me but kind of glad it didn't work out with that girl, turned out a little nutty hehehehehe.

Its seasonal luckily with the poison ivy but really bad around this time of year and onwards through summer. I think it was NOV when we went there back then. I know the play was a holiday one I was kind of forced to lol. You have a great day buddy, need anything I am here.
