I grew up close to nature, on the country side with a big garden, animals and a lot of apple trees. When I was a kid I planted my own seeds in spring time that slowly became beautiful flowers. I learned patience and the importance to working for long time goals. I remember that one of the first things I did in the mornings was to check on the seeds and plants. Which ones had come up, how did they progress? It was so much fun and I felt a lot of enjoyment when it was finally time to plant them in the garden. This small seed had developed into a magnificent flower, what a miracle!
We had two horses, one dog and many cats. It was so much fun to hang out with the animals and they gave us a lot of love and enjoyment. Of course it took some work and time to take care of them but in that way I learned to take responsibility at an early age. We lived close to a mountain and on that mountain was very good paths for horseback riding. I was spending a lot of time in nature during my childhood, horseback riding, playing and working in the garden. I and my brother was participating in taking care of the garden and a lot of times we got some coins for helping out.
When I was a teenager I lost my connection with nature. It lasted for some time. I was mostly interested in super big cities. Cities like New York, Tokyo, Mumbai and Barcelona. I had become a big city lover. But on that concrete roads and among infinite amounts of shops I knew I had lost something valuable. Nature was calling me back. Back to my true nature. A nature lover.
Big cities are not really for me anymore, I can enjoy a weekend, sure, but not that much more time. Nowadays I like beaches, forests, jungles, valleys, waterfalls, lakes and oceans. I would rather have a nice experience in nature than a night out at the club in a big city. There’s so much you can do in nature especially if the weather is warm enough. Camping, hiking, boat trips, horseback riding, photography, painting, swimming, sitting around a camp fire sharing stories, singing, dancing, whatever.
The most beautiful thing I’ve seen in my life is Crater Lake in Oregon State, USA. That beats every city attraction man. I don’t care about Rockefeller Center, Space Needle, Empire State Building or whatever. This is true beauty and totally breathtaking. Take a good look at this picture and go there some day!
Blessings! <3
