Church owl, lovely protected creature

Hi Steemians!

Today an out of the ordinary little article!

Meet these 2 little guys 😍
These are two baby church owls, who reside in the top roof in a box in the barn of my friends farm.

The mother owl has resided there for almost 15 years now and is being tracked and protected.

She had two little babies who are about 2 months old now.

This special service called "kerkuilwerkgroep Vlaanderen" tracks and protects these birds and have made a special box for them in the rooftop of the barn.

I just climbed up the ladder and took this amazing picture of them! So touching to see these in the most natural free environment even though it is in a residential barn.

I'm glad these services excist to protect these endangered species!

Here's a picture of the mum.

She had babies before but apparentely one of them had died in Denmark, which my friend was notified about through the ring system.

How wonderful to see how far these lovely animals fly out... and most of the time always come back...

Not my usual cup of tea to write about nature but seeing these little baby birds so close was really special!

Enjoy your evening!!

The mom owl looks quite serious. The babies are always so defenseless. The service with the difficult name is reliable. The story is nice even ain’t the author’s cuppa)))

True 😅
They really are reliable! Have been since the mother owl resided there apparentely!
But still something you don't see everyday! ☺️
