Notodontidae family
I spotted this caterpillar in October 2017.
I just now got around to trying to identify it. I can't get past the family name though. At any rate, the moth it will turn into will be mostly brown or gray, almost never having showy colors. They're fuzzy looking, although the caterpillar itself is hairless. The caterpillars may also have tubercules, spines, or humps.
Thanks for checking this neat-looking caterpillar!
Other Critters:
Wheel Bug
Three Toed Box Turtle
Eastern Fence Lizard
Horsefly Eggs
and Tobacco Hornworm
COOL! We have so many neat pillars around here! I have you seen the spice Bush swallotale? Another neat one.

Oh yeah! They're wild. My friend @tiredmama found one in her yard last summer. Thanks for stopping by!

Nice job getting the ID. So many people don’t bother, but it’s amazing what you can find if you just look!
