The Jacks Fork River Rocks! - Tumbled - Part 2

Here are eight more local rocks I have tumbled. The pinkish or grayish ones are from my yard, and the more orange ones are from the river. Most of the coloring is staining that occurs due to our high iron content in our red, clay mud. I find lots of agates at the river, as well as a few in my yard. I can't wait to get started wire wrapping these for necklaces!

That's awesome. I'm obsessed with rocks! What kind of tumbler do u have... We've been thinking about getting one

Thanks! I have a Lortone Rotary Tumbler, model 3A. It holds about 3 pounds of rock. It takes four cycles of different grits, each cycle lasting a week and a lot of patience! It's about as loud as a not-so-new dishwasher. If I had a garage I'd keep it in there!
