Near to where I live is a series of waterways that hold water back from the sea using small dams. This forms a series of short sections of water that ducks of different types live on.
In the summer months, most of them dry up as they lose water by farmers using the water and natural seepage into the ground aquifers.
This one tends to hold water all year although sometimes it is very little. Now, the winter it's full.
Here are a few of the types of duck that are there this week.
