Victory for Dakota Access Pipeline Water Protectors. #NODAPL - HUGS

In earlier messages this week, we invited you all to connect more deeply with water this week as all these planets begin to move into the watery sign of Cancer. Syncronistically we see connection with our earths sacred waters in the news as well as updates about the court cases involving the Dakota Access Pipline are released.

Over this last winter, HUGS helped to raise over $2000 dollars to assist Water Protectors at the Dakota Accsess Pipeline. HUGS support team member and alternative energy expert Brad Kalio along with others utilized the money to bring various alternative energy solutions into the protest to assist with the extreme weather conditions on the freezing grasslands of North Dakota.

Many protestors came from around the world to rise up in a unified stance to protect the sacred waters and lands in the area. After brutal attacks by the efforts of the oil companies and law enforcement along with the extreme weather conditions getting worse many of the protestors along with the medias attention moved on.

We are happy to announce that there is some small progress in this area as of Wednesday June 21st.

"a federal judge breathed life back into the fight against Dakota Access. In a 91-page decision, US district judge James Boasberg ruled that the corps failed to take into account the impacts that a spill underneath the Missouri river could have on “fishing rights, hunting rights, or environmental justice, or the degree to which the pipeline’s effects are likely to be highly controversial”. The corps’ hasty decision to permit the pipeline without a thorough environmental impact statement violated the National Environmental Policy Act....In his ruling, the judge ordered the army must redo its environmental analysis on sections of the pipeline that cross under Lake Oahe on the Missouri river. He also left open the possibility that Dakota Access could be forced to cease operations as a remedy for these violations."

This event and what happened there has not been forgotten by many communities and various organizations around the world either. This event although in many ways a loss, has served to unify and give more voice and attention to the earth and many native and indigenous supporting groups.

HUGS was motivated to support in ways by putting its proceeds towards both alternative energy solutions to raise awareness, but also directly support those protestors that were in need at the time.

WHAT IS AT THE ROOT OF THIS DESTRUCTION?

While we are also still working to support projects working on alternative energies, we have also started to focus on even deeper roots to these types of issues. We currently are focusing on effective ways to heal the human condition and methods to reestablish humanities connection with nature, the earth and one another with our Sacred Wisdom Collective Project.. We also are currently supporting by doing work to support organizations that work to preserve the many dissolving ingenious cultures and practices. We feel that by focusing both on healing humanities internal loss of connection with the elements and ways to strengthen and preserve the cultures that are rooted in earth conscious awareness these effects will have multi-facted systemic effect.

More updates on these projects soon.
