A walk along the San Francisco Bay Trail

in nature •  7 years ago

A walk along the Bay Trail. The trail is an old gravel and dirt access road that follows along the southern end of the bay. A great place to walk or bike. The trail eventually leads to the Steven’s Creek Nature Preserve and the Google Mountain View Campus.

A picture of an old, lonely pier sits at the end of the bay. Mission Peak is in the background.

Through the gates, which are locked at night to prevent the ducks from escaping.

There is always a breeze on this trail and a light jacket is handy.

A look at some of the levees on the bay.

A lonely little boat at the edge of the bay waiting for the tide. The Golden Gate bridge is barely visible in the background.

Beautiful pictures! I live in the bay area, but never been to this trail. Seems like it's a great place to walk.

Thanks! The trail goes past moffett field and all the way to shoreline and a little further, which is great for a long ride.
