Awesome blog! And what an amazing discovery. It is also somewhat encouraging that this bird isn't quite so close to extinction so hopefully awareness and some conservation will keep that true for a long time.

Thanks for stopping by, @ivyrae! Yeah, it's really cool that's it's not in a bad place, but just like any bird in the Amazon, it is threatened by deforestation. All species in the tropical rain forest is loosing habitat to farmers, loggers and miners, so sadly they are far from as safe as we would like them to be.
