Bites & Stings by Poisonous Animals

in nature •  7 years ago  (edited)

Since the company that I worked with is close to nature (both forest & sea), our Human Resource Department held this 2 hours talk about identifying and how to handle bites & stings from poisonous animals. I work in a spa where we usually encounter big lizards, tree snakes, centipedes besides other animals like squirrels and in one case a couple of geese got lost up into our swimming pool.

Most of the topics were on snakes and jellyfish.

There are 3 ways snakes releases their venom:

  1. Bite and release
  2. Bite, Inject & release
  3. Spits / Spray their venom into victims' eyes then bite or suffocates.

Seeing all the snakes pictures gives me the chills under my skin since I hate snakes but at the same time gives all the staffs the basic knowledge on how to handle emergency cases.
