Subterranean Ants Love Coconut

in nature •  7 years ago

Once again they outsmart the Crazy Black Ants.

They make an opening, make a line to the target, and off they go.

I threw a finished coconut under a plant. Somehow the Subterranean ants found it. The Crazy Black Ants didn't seem keen to claim it.

I notice the line of ants is not congested. I propose that this helps them to remain elusive.

And nearby was this spider with lunch. 😄
