As a current resident of California, I am glad this article pointed out the key differences between the age claims for these species. All should be celebrated as interesting, but I don't think this should count as being older than a Bristlecone. Many species make clones, but clones are not the same as an individual. Aspen clones are tens of thousands of years old for example. Interesting topic!
