Tonight I want to show you one of my newer photographs. Yes, I know it is not hard to take a nice flower photo. However, the bee makes a bit more special.
Even though the flower looks pink I included it in the Sunday purple color challenge because of its name. It is actually called Eastern purple coneflower (Echinacea Purpurea).
It belongs to the sunflower family but has much smaller blossoms than the ones of the yellow sunflowers.
I had a wonderful Sunday here in Edmonton, AB. It was a fabulous sunny day and I almost forgot about the winter around the corner. Hope you had a good weekend just as well :)
That bee looks really cute! I don't know if i'm colorblind or not but it looks purple to me. Perfect for the sunday color challenge. Enjoy the rest of your day

While the vibrant, strong sunflower is a recognized worldwide for its beauty, it is also an important source of food. But some kinds is very special for they colors and forms, very beautiful makro shot cheers !
