Every year thousands of sea turtles migrate to Oman to lay their eggs. Turtles are coming here on the Ras al Hadd Beach all year long, to lay eggs during the night and to leave again the beach just before the sunrise, the best time to come here is from May to September.

Jedes Jahr ziehen tausende Meeresschildkröten nach Oman, um ihre Bruteier am Strand von Ras al Hadd zu legen. Die Schildkröten kommen das ganze Jahr hierher, um in der Nacht Eier zu legen und kurz vor dem Sonnenaufgang wieder zu verlassen. Die beste Zeit um es zu sehen ist von Mai bis September.

Danke für diesen Reisebericht zum Schildkrötenstrand. Gefällt mir sehr, weil das Verhalten der Schildkröten schon einzigartig ist. Die Fotoimpressionen gehen mir so nahe, daß ich dort einen sehr spirituellen Platz erkenne, vielleicht ist genau das u.a. für Schildkröten auch ein Anziehungspunkt ...
