"Fairie dust egg smashers" to bless spring time are loads of fun for the kids! We've adjusted the typical sequin or confetti filled egg with a more earth friendly sea salt filling that will actually deter snails and slugs. They'll smash just as nicely and set out a sparkle for sure! We tapped the tops off the eggs, drained their fillings for quiches later in the day, dyed them and salt filled them. They glow w/ color from with in from the dying and are lovely little gems just dying to be smashed for good spring time wishes.
We love to celebrate the garden by growing starts inside of eggs. My son got creative this year and made a nest for the table for us to enjoy through the holiday before we let his plants take off and introduce them into our garden. As the eggs surrounding are compostable they can safely be planted as is~ simply crack the bottom of your egg holder so the roots can freely play in the greater garden as you plant them.
Have fun this Easter out in your gardens, cheers!
Lauren, what beautiful and creative Easter decorations for your table!! 😍
