Spring will be here soon in North Texas and I'm looking forward to all the flowering plants jumping back to life. I took this picture in Dallas at the arboretum some time in the past. I hope all of you find more beauty in your life everyday. Peace!

What on earth is an Arboretum?? Hehe... Sounds like a place I'd enjoy though. I chose to get married in a garden in Cape Town (Arderne Gardens).

An arboretum is a place similar to a fancy garden that is preserved by curators/park rangers to look really beautiful year round and have many different kinds of special plants, flowers and especially exotic trees. (arbor is another word for tree) Basically it's a very well-maintained garden and large tree park mixed together. http://www.dallasarboretum.org/

Usually they cost money to go into them also and have people who teach the science about plants, etc. So they are kind of like museums/classrooms/entertainment places for plant loving people. People do celebrate special times at the arboretum like weddings and school graduations or other things like that. It's a good place for people to take photos of people mixing with beautiful scenery much like the gardens you mentioned.

I hope this answers your question and I bet you would enjoy visiting it some time. And congratulations on getting married. :)

That answers my question more thoroughly than I was expecting, thanks! lol... (Most expect you to just "go google it" ;P). Thanks... It's been over three years now =) The Arderne Gardens are exactly that, actually! They have a very wide variety of species of tree there.

Also, while I've got your attention, please go check out my latest posts if you haven't already =) One is a piece of art, and the other a slightly controversial piece about threesomes and open relationships ;P

You're welcome and yes, a fancy garden is nearly the exact same thing as an arboretum. Thanks for the reminders and I did check your posts out already. And I upvoted them. :)
