Nestled in the Dandenong Ranges, Emerald is my favourite place to visit when touring the Yarra Valley and Dandenongs region.The famous Puffing Billy Railway travels through Emerald on its journey from Belgrave to Gembrook.
It is the perfect destination for families to enjoy a variety of nature based and fun activities including Thomas Days at Emerald, Emerald Lake Park, picnics, fishing, forest walks and cycling trails. 
You'll be treated to country charm with all the trimmings, a selection of cafes and restaurants, giftware, clothing and a whole lot more to choose from.
Emerald is beautiful to visit any time of the year. You'll be treated to majestic views and colours, mists and warm winter fires, stunning bird and wildlife and fern gully walks. Emerald and the Eastern Dandenong Ranges region is natures playground to explore.
