This is one of the Longicorn beetles of the family Cerambycidae. This one was found in my backyard some time ago but I only got an ID on it today, thanks to some help from someone on the Bowerbird web site (a great resource if you are in Australia). It is Epithora dorsalis. The photos were taken with a Canon 300D and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens.
