Right at 12.00 pm, seven motorbikes boarded 13 people including me moving from Simpang Keude Mbang through to the palm oil plantation of PT Satya Agung. The rocky cobbled road divides the vast area of plantations through the Krueng (River) Pase.
Climbing down the hillside in the middle of the palm plantation, we then crossed the Puntue Alue (Groove) which was knee-deep in water. The journey up and down the hill continues until it arrives at the Komando Barracks, 10 Kilometers over Mbang, the Capital of Geureudong Pase Sub-district.
"This barrack is occupied by oil palm plantation workers of PT Satya Agung. They are contracted every three years, "Rizal said when we stopped at the Command Barracks.
Called "Command Barracks" because the location was the first barracks when it opened palm plantation PT Satya Agung belonging to a conglomerate from Aceh (late) Ibrahim Risyad.
Behind the wood-constructed barracks were several permanent buildings. "The building is occupied by the foremen (supervisor of garden workers)," said one of the residents barracks.
