The Ancient Cedar Tree of Abarukh

This is one of the wonders of the world, amongst one of the oldest living life of the world. It is called the Cedar Tree of Abarukh and it falls on the road travel between the two cities of Shiraz and Yazd in Iran. This is one magnificence that you see in this place. Honestly the first look of it made me feel very overwhelmed. I wanted to go and hug her but there is a boundary around her and one cannot go there, so that was one disappointment for me. Nevertheless I got to see her was also fortunate for me. The height of this Tree is 25 meters and the perimiter of the trunk of this tree is 11.5 meters which is huge. In the picture we may not be able to identify it but trust me it's a huge Tree and just not huge, it's one full of life and a house to countless birds. Thank God they do not have any restrictions to rest on her. It is claimed that this Tree is almost 4500 years old. But some Japanese scientists who have visited the place also claim that this Tree can be upto 8000 years old. Which makes her definitely one of the oldest living creature on Earth.

Sometime ago I had read a book on the Oldest Living Lives on our planet and this one comes under the top 10 oldest Trees on our planet. Visiting it was a real accomplishment for me. It was a surprise from our tour organizer as this was not a part of our itinerary and I must say it was a beautiful surprise.

We clicked many pictures around it. just wished they could have allowed us inside. But then that's also there that they need to preserve it with utmost care and if people start going very near to it may be can bring some harm to her.
