It's the last month of winter. It's frosty outside...
All the trees are asleep in winter. Life in the forest freezes in winter. You come to the forest and feel like there's nobody there. All nature is lifeless.
If you look at the trees from afar, they resemble a black solid strip, which contrasts with white snow sharply. Although, when approaching the winter forest it looks transparent, and behind the bare trunks of trees can be seen quite far.
