Argao, Cebu is known for it's "torta" delicacies and "tableya" products. But, who would have thought the well-known rice terraces of Ifugaos', can be seen also in Cebu? Yes, you read it right.
The municipality of Argao, barangay Butong has its own kind of rice paddies. The rice terraces were formed because of the terrain's slope, supported by a rock wall and an abundant source of water.
If you happen to visit Argao, Cebu include this on your list not because this is a tourist spot, but also experience how hard it is to plow for a city girl and a first timer like me. Indeed the song "Magtanim ay di biro" is true.
