Farming as another source of income.

Why many youths are quitting farming for white collar jobs?.

Why is it that every youth dreams of a life in town living their parents home in the villages?

These questions really purtab me and always leave me very confused with no perfect answer for them.
As in Uganda which is an African country. Many youths have neglected farming being that its the backbone of Uganda and went for white collar jobs. By white collar jobs I mean (office jobs. Where one seats in the office for 8hrs and wait for a monthly salary from the bosses).
Once you go to town(Kampala and the nearby areas, you'll find that the area is to congested by youths of ages between 18-45yrs.

Their is this saying among the youth that "No one can fail life when in Kampala"
Haha a. Haha.. Haha.. Haha..
I really pity these people with such kind of thinking. Coz you may find many of these who ran away from their home villages where their are pieces of land enough for both subsistence and cash crop farming depending on chapati and beans ("**kikomando" ** as locally known) for breakfast, lunch and supper. And they are the same youths who call their old parents whom they left in the villages for money and food incase they run out of dime. The poor parents coz of the love they have for their children, they'll provide to their beloved children, whom they think have a good life in town hoping to be helped in future.
This is really too sad to the parents.
Farming isn't bad, and it's not a shoddy work. Like for me, I personally earn, though still little coz I've just started doing so on a 50-50ft piece of land going maize. I put in a little amount of money of 50,000shs and aiming to earn some bit of extras of 400,000shs by the end of this month. Imagine this is still though little. But according to what I invested in, at least it's worthy eating or giving it to a girl for clubing.

As part of my income, and as we're all looking forward to making money in one way or the other. Get something else to invest in. Not just coins, but also farming. Coz it's money is there.
