Mississippi River flood warning issued for New Orleans area

Floodwalls officially protect the city of New Orleans to a water level of 20 feet.

Interesting article about the high Mississippi River and what officials are doing about it. The Bonnet Carre Spillway is open, without it the River at New Orleans would already be above that 20 foot mark. Amazing how much water is coming down the River right now. I hope to make it the Spillway at some point to all that water rushing through it.....

That really sucks. Hope it doesn't make it above those walls

They need to open more bays of the Spillway(I'm sure they will), the River is rising again, rain, rain , rain.....

I still wish they'd let more of the water flow through the fresh water diversions, it'd really help with coastal land loss.
