Jainal abedin and his biggest silk cotton flower garden of Bangladesh

The silk cotton flower garden on the banks of the Jadukata River at Tahirpur in Sunamganj, over 100 bighas of land. This huge silk cotton flower garden has been built by Joynal Abedin. Recently the lemon garden has been built there. Lemon gardens practically divided the gardens into two spheres. In Bangladesh we called it Shimul Garden.

At the age of 12, Joynal Abedin came to the village of Sohala of Badghat Union from Bhairab in Brahmanbaria district with the separation of Sunamganj district. He was very enthusiastic since his teenage years. He was not so educated but his life was full of struggling. He was satisfied in the fisheries business, instead of taking different occupation. For his own company Inland Fisheries, he took lease Tanguar haor. And also he was elected for the Chairman of Badaghat Union Parishad. But he was not only satisfied with his business, but also he desire to do more unique something. Which will come to the benefit of the people. He had immense affection for the trees and nature. He loved to plant trees.

He has planted 90,000 kinds of trees in Tongaura Haor area for 13 years from 1988 to 2000. Along with this, Hijal trees were also planted. He collected the seedlings locally. The whole responsibility of taking care of these trees also took his own shoulder. In the dry season, he gave water on these trees. For the last 13 years he has truly made Unthinkable accomplishment.

There is a beautiful Barek Tila near Shimul garden. It is easy to enjoy the beauty of the Jadukata river on this hill. On the other side, there is the forest of Kuchi flower on Tila. Of course, the kurchi trees were born naturally here.

Zainal Abedin originally started the cultivation of Shimul from commercial thought. After his death his son Rakhab Uddin, a former Chairman of Badaghat Union Parishad, took care of this garden. In the garden, the lemon was also cultivated in mixed form. Now, Zainal Abedin is not alive, but his kids like trees are alive. The red flowers may keep him alive from generation to generation.
