Nama Anoi Itam sendiri terinspirasi dari keadaan alam daerah tersebut.

Anoi Itam name itself inspired from the natural state of the area.

Pantai ini adalah satu-satunya pantai berpasir hitam di Kota Sabang, bahkan mungkin di seluruh Provinsi Aceh. Konon, pasir di pantai ini mengandung nikel yang beratnya 3 kali lipat dari pasir hitam lainnya. Jika Anda menginjakkan kaki telanjang Anda di pantai ini, maka akan terasa kalau pasir di pantai ini memang lebih besar di banding pasir di pantai lain, mungkin lebih seperti biji merica hitam.

This beach is the only black sand beach in Sabang City, maybe even in the entire province of Aceh. It is said that the sand on this beach contains nickel which weighs 3 times that of other black sand. If you set your bare feet on this beach, it will be felt that the sand on this beach is bigger than sand on other beaches, maybe more like black peppercorn.
