Finding the Cells That Make Regeneration Possible in Tadpoles

Thank you, African Clawed Frog tadpoles are unique from most other tadpoles in three ways - their catfish like whiskers that they use for sensory input, continuing to eat while absorbing their tails, and for supplementing their gills with air from the surface (those bubbles you see are from them exhaling). You can read a bit on the importance of early lung use by ACF tadpoles in this paper: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/11802966_Lung_use_and_development_in_Xenopus_laevis_tadpoles
