The international border between Nepal (Province No. 1) and China (Tibet Autonomous Region) runs across its summit point. It's height is 8848m. The first men to conquer Mt.Everest were Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay sherpa on 29 May 1953. The first women to sucessfully climb Mt.Everst was Junko tabei from Japan. However, first Nepali women to reach the summit of Mt.Everest was Passang Lamu Sherpa. Mt. Everest has given lots of popularity all over the world many tourist visit Nepal and they often want to visit Mount Everest due to which Nepal has been earning good amount of foreign currencies.

Mount Everest is not only giving popularity to Nepal but also providing employment opportunities for people. Many people of solukhumbu are involved in occupation of trekking guide and with this occupation people have managed for their livelihood so in conclusion it has been a source of income for some people of solukhumbu. As visitors who are interested for trekking they need to carry different materials and many materials are thrown away after use which is polluting Everest the places which were famous for fresh air in Everest are no longer pollution free they have been polluted beacause random throwing of garbages by the visitors.

To control the pollution on Everest government established a rule to punish the people who throw garbages in Everest. According to the rule people who throw garbage have to pay certain amount of fine but the pollution on Everest has not decreased.
