Garden photo - Gooseberries ripening

They're getting close, can you taste the sourness?

Anyone who's eaten gooseberries before they're ripe knows what I'm talking about. The crunchy, sour taste is unmistakable. Just about another week until they're ripe, and I can enjoy the first crop of the season.

I like waiting until the gooseberries are pretty ripe. They do look different then. Some turn a nice shade of pink. They get pretty sweet then - for a gooseberry, lol! Enjoy those berries!

What area of the world are you in? Ive never had a gooseberry.

Canada, but this plant should be able to grow anywhere that has a temperate climate.

Under-ripe grapes will light you up as well. Beautiful lush greenery. The Gooseberries look good. Nice photo.

They will be tasty, followed for more!
