We already know some case of alcohol consuming animals. Birds do it, hedgehogs, elephants, but also squirrels, dogs, moose and insects. And of course: monkeys! They are even very imaginative when it comes to getting to the drug alcohol ran.
In African Guinea researchers have discovered a palm-drinking group of chimpanzees. The wine has an alcohol content of about 7 percent and is actually made by humans from the crown of the palm tree. The monkeys catch the palm juice with the help of a self-folded palm leaf and get drunk. The one more, the other less. Some monkeys, have already mutated into habit stones. They drink up to three liters a day.
There are some indications that monkeys are really experiencing intoxication. When they have drunk a lot, they like to lie under the palm trees on the floor and doze in front of themselves - and the next day they leave the fingers of the alcohol
The scientists estimate that approximately 15 percent of the monkeys are abstinent, 65 percent are casual strikers and 15 percent are serious drinkers.
