Good timing.

Glad to be living by such beauty ever day again. Tide was very high but there was still sand to walk the beach a bit. How could I not?

This burnt log is quite huge. This vantage point doesn't show it but I am 5'11" and it came up passed my waist just laying there on the sand. Not sure if the burn marks are from attempts to burn in on the beach or if the burn is why it ended up in the water. Either way the texture and colors made me happy so I just had to get a shot.

This is the root end of a 40' drift wood tree. The top parts of the roots were taller even than the burnt log. The bright greens and light tans work so well together.

Layers, oh layers, how they excite my brain. Playing around with editing software and just about any where you try to add a tilt shift to this image it looks good. Horribly indecisive I kept it as shot.
