Hi, yes and no. You don't really need to water them as long as you have them in a room or greenhouse with a high humidity level. Can't get too warm though. Anything above 16 degrees C (60 F) and they will likely become black or some other funky colour which is not edible. I took one into the house and had to sprinkle water on them every day otherwise they'll dry out pretty quickly
