The wind chill is -23 F and tonight's temperature is dropping to -3F. We have gusty winds howling up to 40 MPH making it hard to see. The snow slowed mid-day and the sparrows were flocking to my bird feeder for food. Driving was icy due to the cold and you had to go real slow, sometimes during white outs due to the wind. I hope everyone is staying warm and safe during these very extreme temperatures. We are still expected to get 4" more of snow here in Western, NY. I am staying inside for sure.

Until next time, this is Sunscape...

Aww, this reminds me of home! I just moved out to the West Coast from Upstate New York and my mom keeps telling me how cold it is back home. Hopefully it warms up soon! :)

Thank you for stopping in to see my winter scenes

Nice bird feeder. Might say the mother of all. he he

They sit on the post taking turns waiting for corn and seed. They are quite fun to watch, as you can see I get a lot of them coming to feast.

I bet those birdies are thankful for the food.

Thank you so much @chelsea88 the birds are my resident flock. The majority are born all summer long in my birdhouse.

That looks so pretty to someone who never sees snow, I can only imagine how cold it must be.

So glad to see your sparrows still get their daily feed, lovely photo's of them all waiting patiently @sunscape

Thanks Joan, they do take turns and are too cute. We have to keep a path shoveled and the ground cleared for them to find it all. Snowing still and temps are brrrrrr. I imagine you are pretty much warm most of the year. I love seeing all your photos when I catch them rolling through.
