Tarp Shelter Set Up Part 2

The Ridge Line...

Since 90% of the time I plan on using the tarp for hammock camping, I opted for what's often referred to as a "continuous ridge line". You can find article all over the net on how make them, essentially it's a length of cordage with two carabiners. Usually one is tied to the end of the line and the other is attached via a Prusik Knot. Mine is 30 feet of para cord with an extra Prusik knot to handle the center tie off on the tarp. This type of ridge created a natural "V" shape at the tree that allows hammock suspension to pass through.
