Butterfly House Pictures - Final Set
These were my favorite shots when at the Butterfly House this last week. I tried getting some close up shots with a few really coming out great. It might be nearing time to do a camera upgrade.
I really liked this close-up of what I think was a Pink Hibiscus flower. It's amazing how much depth came out with the center parts (pistil and stamen) coming through.
I love this shot, especially the two small petals from the flower behind looking like somebody giving bunny ears! The soft white and yellow of the flower really make it pop compared to the background of green. Looking around on the web, I think this species is called Plumeria.
I'm pretty confident remembering a sign identifying this flower as Cat Whiskers. They reminded me of small fireworks exploding at the end of the stems. I really felt like that aspect got captured well with this shot.
I'm pretty confident that this shot is of a flower called Red Anthurium. While the thick waxiness of pedal didn't quite come through here, I really liked the angle and the corn cob looking part sticking up.
This does end the posts of my Butterfly House so until I happen to go picture crazy again somewhere, I'll be going back to my normal AI/techonology posts, perhaps starting back with a new fiction story.
