What's up friends? Welcome to notiCurioso! today we present 7 curious facts about our planet earth.
Number 1. Water covers more than 70% of the planet.
"Yes, how do you see it?" in the earth we can find solid, gaseous and liquid water.
The latter can be found in all our rivers, marshes, lakes, seas and oceans. It should be noted that they contain about 97% of all the water on the planet.
Number 2. Earth is not a perfect sphere.
"if you see it" According to studies, it has been determined that the planet is not totally round.
In fact, it is flattened at the poles, so that its shape resembles more an ellipse than a sphere.
This is due to the effect of gravity and the centrifugal force produced by the rotation on its axis, this generates the planning at the poles and its widening at the equator.
Number 3. Gravity is not the same in all places on earth.
As I mentioned in the previous publication, the Earth is closer to an ellipse. then the soil of the earth is irregular and the mass of our planet is not distributed perfectly homogeneous.
This causes that there are variations in the value of the gravitational field. A clear example is Hudson Bay in Canada.
This place is characteristic for having a slight decrease in its severity.
But stop! you will not float, this change is imperceptible to the human.
Number 4. The core of the planet.
It is a sphere that is located in the inner center of the earth. This is divided into several stages:
I'm going to talk about the last two that are the outer core, which is believed to be liquid and its radius is 2250 kilometers, made up of iron mixed with nickel.
"A little bit of heat do not believe"
And the inner core is solid and has a radius that measures approximately 1255 kilometers. it is believed to be 70% iron. and 30% nickel among other heavy metals such as iridium, lead, titanium, mercury, uranium and gold.
The latter has the peculiarity of having. then ... but so many ... in the core to cover the entire globe with a layer 4 meters thick.
You're right. Hey, and if you plan to dig a hole and look for some of that gold,
keep in mind that the core has a temperature similar to that of the sun ... Yes! I'm sorry for disappointing you.
Number 5. Did you know that you can reach China in just 40 minutes through a hole?
Yes, of course, if you were a super mole and you could dig very deep.
then go through the core without roasting, until you get to the other side this would be the time it would take you, but if you are not so supe, before reaching the surface you would fall back in the opposite direction and you would fall from one place to another forever .
"Terrier better do not try it"
Number 6. The hottest place on the planet.
There is a place considered the hottest on Earth. "And it has a fairly appropriate name." It's the Valley of Death, "If scary" it is in the United States in the state of California. The World Meteorological Organization confirmed that the highest temperature ever recorded on Earth occurred in that valley on July 10, 1913 with 56 point 7 degrees Celsius.
In fact there is a video where a girl fry an egg in that place.
"If you go to that place, take plenty of water"
Number 7. The coldest place on the planet.
Most of us consider that the entire Antarctic is the coldest place on our planet. If it is true but there is a specific place that, On July 21, 1983 was captured the coldest temperature ever measured on Earth. it was minus 129 degrees Farenger, or minus 89 degrees Celsius, at Boctok Base located at 3488 meters altitude in the South Pole Antarctic.
But there is a population close to the pole that also registered incredible temperatures is Oimiakón or Oymyakón.
A Russian town, belonging to the homonymous district, located northeast of the republic of Sakha, in eastern Siberia.
In 2010 its population amounted to 462 inhabitants. The soil of the place is permanently frozen. Oimiakón is known as one of the candidate populations to be the coldest place in the north pole, since on January 26, 1926 a temperature of minus 71 degrees Celsius was registered. However, this fact is debatable, since the temperature was not measured directly but obtained by extrapolation.
"You know if it bothers you that your ice cream melts very quickly you can consider moving to that place"
I hope you liked them there and then served them to learn something new, until next time.
Ohhh my goodness...Very interesting news..the earth is warped and I am digging a hole to China and hope I don't get burnt...lol
