The most touristic destination in Slovenia, Lake Bled!

Hello guys. If you are a regular follower of my posts, you know that I am a big fan of Slovenia as I have had a chance to live there. Slovenia is known for its great nature. In this post, I am going to introduce you another amazing spot in this amazing country. Lake Bled is the most visited place in Slovenia. This charming place manages to get the attention of people from all over the world every year. It really deserves this attention. Check the photo below to see why I am saying so!

Lake Bled

As I said before, this place is the most touristic place in Slovenia. During my volunteering, I used to go there quite a lot with my friends. There is a small island in the middle of the lake. You can go there by the boats while enjoying the surroundings of the lake. In summer time, some people prefer to swim to the island as the water is really clean. There is also a castle on the hill near Bled Lake. That castle is the best spot to enjoy the full beauty of Bled. It is a bit hard to walk there and usually takes 10 minutes to reach the top, but the view you get there is really worth seeing. You need to pay some money to enter into museum in the castle, otherwise it doesn't make much sense to walk up there. I paid money with my friends, because the best view of the lake can be seen from there.

The Natural Paradise

Lake Bled is not so far from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It takes only 1 hour to reach there and there are regular buses from the main station. You can either take bus or train to reach there. What I like doing most in Lake Bled is to walk around it as there is a long walking path. It is nearly 6 kms and you can enjoy your tour with swans swimming and walking around, don't forget to feed them. You can visit Lake Bled either in summer or winter. I have been there in both seasons. In winter, If you are brave enough, you can try to walk on the frozen lake, but it is not recommended for your safety.
