High perennial herbaceous plants up to 3 m in height, form dense turf (hummocks). Leavesbeard, evergreen, long and thin, 1-2 m long and 1 cm wide, with very sharp tips (so they should be taken carefully). The leaves are usually bluish-green, but can also be silvery-gray. The flowers are collected in thick white, silvery-white or, rarely, yellowish, reddish or purple shades of 20-40 cm long on a peduncle with a height of 2-3 m. The spikelets that make up the scraper consist of 3-7 flowers and reach 15-18 mm length. Flowering from August to November.
